一种宽输入电压的Boost变换器设计

A Boost Converter with Ultra-Wide Supply Voltage

摘要: 针对便携电子设备及可穿戴设备应用场景,介绍了一种超宽电源电压范围下工作的Boost变换器。该Boost变换器采用恒定关断时间(CFT,Constant off time)的控制模式,回避了常规的定频控制模式所必须的斜坡补偿电路。恒定关断时间为400 ns,外围器件采用微型电感、电容,可大大减小整个电源模组所占面积。芯片片内集成40 V LDMOS,输出电压最高可达40 V,电流限为100 mA。提出的Boost变换器采用0.35 μm BCD工艺进行设计。仿真结果显示,所设计的Boost变换器可在1~15 V输入电压下正常工作。

Abstract: Aiming at the application scenarios of portable electronic devices and wearable devices, this article introduces a Boost converter that operates under a very wide power supply voltage range. The Boost converter uses a constant off-time (CFT, Constant off time) control mode, which avoids the slope compensation circuit required by the conventional fixed-frequency control method. The constant off-time is 400 ns. Micro-inductors and capacitors can be used for peripheral devices, which can greatly reduce the area occupied by the entire power module. The chip integrates 40 V LDMOS, the output voltage can reach up to 40 V, and the current limit is 100 mA. The Boost converter proposed in this paper is designed based on 0.35 μm BCD process. The simulation results show that the boost converter designed in this paper can work normally under the input voltage of 1 ~ 15 V.
