一种柔性透明屏LED驱动芯片设计与实现

摘要: 随着发光二极管(Light Emitting Diode, LED)显示驱动市场的日益火爆,市场对于显示效果的要求愈发严格,各种异性屏逐渐成为主流应用产品。针对市面上的柔性透明屏驱动存在的功能单一、级联个数低、电流无法调节、灰度等级低等问题,采用打散脉冲调制(Scrambled Pulse with Modulation, SPWM)算法技术,设计了一款专用于柔性透明屏的LED显示驱动芯片。与传统柔性透明屏驱动产品相比,该芯片新增断点续传和全彩显示功能,最大级联数提升50%,达到1024颗芯片;新增全局电流和R/G/B单色电流调节功能,调节范围广;灰度等级最高可达16 bit;功耗降低300%,最低为0.5 mA。仿真和实验测试结果均证明了设计的正确性和合理性。

Abstract: With the increasing popularity of the light emitting diode (LED) display driver market, the demand for display effect is becoming more and more strict, and a variety of heterosexual screens have gradually become the mainstream application products. Aiming at the problems of single function, low number of cascades, unadjustable current and low gray level of flexible transparent screen driver in the market, a LED display driver chip for flexible transparent screen is designed by using the technology of scrambled pulse with modulation (SPWM). Compared with the traditional flexible transparent screen products, the chip has added new breakpoint transmission and full-color display functions; the maximum number of cascades is increased by 50%, reaching 1024 chips; the global current and R/G/B monochrome current adjustment functions are added, with a wide range of adjustment; the gray level can reach up to 16 bit; the power consumption is reduced by 300%, and the minimum is 0.5 mA. The simulation and experimental results show that the design is correct and reasonable.
