摘要: 当输出旁路电容为陶瓷电容等低等效串联电阻(equivalent series resistance, ESR)电容时,传统固定导通时间(constant on-time, COT)模式下的同步降压变换器容易出现周期性振荡现象。对此,提出一种可内置于芯片的纹波补偿技术。通过将与ESR电压纹波成比例同步变化的量注入到补偿电路中,并将该电压与直流参考电压比较,以实现当使用低ESR电容时,COT架构的降压器能稳定工作。同时通过仿真及实验结果验证了对稳定性和纹波补偿相关分析的正确性。

Abstract: The constant on-time (COT) synchronous buck converter operates easily in a periodic oscillation state when the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of output capacitor is low. By leading into the voltage that synchronously changes with the ripple voltage across ESR and comparing it with the DC reference voltage, a ripple compensation technique for COT synchronous buck converter is proposed, which can make the converter operate normally even a low ESR output capacitor is used. Simulation results are given to verify the stability and ripple compensation analyses.
