Design of a Configurable CIC Filter with Calibration

摘要: 提出一种CIC抽取滤波器的结构优化方法,针对标准递归型三级级联CIC滤波器的第3级积分器,采用了分段处理以及分时复用减法器策略,减少了18.4%的功耗和17%的面积,充分利用硬件资源。同时,该设计采用可配置的滤波器系数,可支持通带频率26 Hz~27 kHz共8种ADC精度模式,满足不同精度的电压测量需求。为解决电压采集过程中的信号失真与硬件误差问题,滤波器集成实时电压校准与“0 V”电压校准算法,有效抑制了信号波动、温漂带来的动态误差,同时消除了芯片工艺偏差与多路选择器通道电压不对称引发的系统误差,最终实现电动汽车电池组电压数据采集的抗干扰、高精度与高稳定性目标。

Abstract: This paper proposes a structural optimization method for the CIC decimation filter. By adopting the approach of segmenting the third-stage integrator and time-division multiplexing the subtractors, the proposed filter reduces power consumption by 18.4% and chip area by 17% compared with the standard recursive 3-stage cascaded CIC filter, thus achieving efficient utilization of hardware resources. Meanwhile, the design features configurable filter coefficients and supports 8 ADC precision modes with a passband frequency range of 26 Hz to 27 kHz, meeting the voltage measurement requirements of different precision levels. To address the issues of signal distortion and hardware errors in the voltage acquisition process, the filter integrates a real-time voltage calibration algorithm and a "0V" voltage calibration algorithm. These algorithms effectively suppress the dynamic errors caused by signal fluctuations and temperature drifts, and eliminate the systematic errors induced by chip process deviations and voltage asymmetry of multiplexer channels. Ultimately, the filter achieves the goals of anti-interference, high precision and high stability for voltage data acquisition of electric vehicle battery packs.
